The compulsory textbook is an essential resource.
You are responsible for reading and studying
everything
in the course textbook, unless we explicitly state that
a section is omitted. Omitted sections will be listed
on the course web page.
Attendance to lectures are not required, but not attending
laboratory sessions can have negative affects on your grade.
You should study the assignments before coming to the lab.
Lab sessions include quizzes, both related to the lab
and also relating to topics covered in the
lectures.
Therefore it is strongly recommended that you keep up
your studying with the lectures.
The examinations will be open-book.
Homeworks will not be collected or graded, but there will
be a homework quiz consisting of problems very similar to
those in the homeworks. Solving problems is an
essential part of studying.
