EEE 391 Basics of Signals and Systems
Spring 2024-2025
Course Description
-
The subject matter of this course is central to the
mathematical analysis of linear systems arising in many areas of
science and engineering.
This provides a foundation for the analysis and processing of various
kinds of media and information that are pervasive in modern society.
-
The many concepts developed, most notably that of
frequency-domain analysis, are one of the most important
intellectual pillars of the discipline.
-
Content:
Introduction to continuous-time and discrete-time signals and systems.
Linear time-invariant (LTI) systems.
Fourier analysis for continuous-time signals and systems.
Introduction to sampling, filtering, z transform, and other selected topics.
