Dr. Sezer obtained his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in 1973, 1974, and 1978, from the Middle East Technical University. After working at Santa Clara
University, California, between 1979-1981 as a research associate;
and at the University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, between
1981-1984 as an Assistant Professor, he joined METU again as an Associate
Professor, where he
also worked as the Head of the Control Systems Section of the TÜBİTAK
Ankara Electronics Research and Development Institute (later BİLTEN).
Dr. Sezer has been with Bilkent since 1986.
Dr. Sezer has been a TÜBİTAK Scholar during his high school and
university education. He is a recipient of TÜBİTAK Young Scientist
Award and Fullbright Scholarship.
He has been an Associate Editor of AUTOMATICA for five years;
and had been an Associate Editor of the journals "Computers and
Electrical Engineering" and "Mechatronics" until recently.
